Last Night’s games
Xavier lost to Butler and is no longer in consideration. Its auto-bid or NIT now. Alabama had a 10 point lead and still lost at
home to Auburn. They are out of the
bracket for now. Duke almost lost again
and it doesn’t look like Zion will play vs North Carolina. If they lose that game they may fall of the
top line.
Tonight’s Bubble
games:
Marquette (4) vs
Seton Hall (12)
Seton Hall pops back into the bracket with the Alabama loss
last night. They could fall right back
out with a home loss vs Marquette
LaSalle vs Dayton
(AC)
Last chance for Dayton; they have no room for error.
St. Bonaventure vs Davidson
(AC)
See Dayton
Providence vs
Creighton (FF)
Creighton is one of our First Four Out and need every win
out there. They could afford a loss but
then they would need a run to the Big East Championship.
Georgetown (FF) vs DePaul
Georgetown is in the same spot as Creighton except their
computer numbers are way worse even if they have a superior record.
Ohio State (10) vs Northwestern
The Buckeye’s are probably a lock at this point with all the
garbage behind them but this would be a bad loss.
Clemson (12) vs Notre
Dame
Clemson is about 7 points across 5 games from being a 7
seed. Alas, they lost all 5 close games
and are barely in.
Georgia Tech vs North
Carolina State (FF)
In any other year where we look at RPI first North Carolina
State wouldn’t even be considered (RPI = 97).
However, they have a NET of 31 and KenPom of 34 so we still have to take
a long look at them. 2-8 in Quad 1 games and 5-0 in Quad 2 games. Probably still a tournament team...unless
they lose tonight
