Mountain West

Las Vegas is home to many a conference tournament and one of them is the Mountain West which tips off on Wednesday. Nevada is the 1-seed and prohibitive favorite.

The 2-seed is Utah State, 40th in KenPom. The Aggies should be a lock for the tournament. The 3-seed is Fresno State who needs to win to get in. At 65 in KenPom, they’re quite capable but were only 1-3 against Nevada and Utah State.

San Diego State and UNLV finished 11-7 in league and are 135th and 160th in KenPom. They shouldn’t be dismissed as potential bid thieves.

The Pick: Nevada - Nevada would love a chance to throttle Utah State after the incidents in Utah last month. Need wins to move up seed-lines as well
