Summit League

Starting Saturday from incredible Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the Sunmit League begins their conference tournament. The heavy favorite is South Dakota State.

The Jackrabbits finished 14-2 in the league and 24-7 overall. They are lead by Milwaukee’s own TJ Otzelberger. They also have mid-major darling Mike Daum who some local college basketball insiders thought was going to take a graduate transfer to Wisconsin. He didn’t. They’re 88th in KenPom and a potential bracket buster.

Nebraska-Omaha finished second and went 13-3 in league play. They split with SDSU, losing by 10 in Brookings and winning by 1 in Omaha. No other team is in the KenPom top 200. Nebraska-Omaha is 160th.

The Pick: South Dakota State - They have the best player and are the best team. Sentimental reasons aside, the Jackrabbits are a good team and winning a game in the dance isn’t impossible for them and Mike Daum deserves another March Madness appearance.
