New Mexico State is the 1-seed and potential problem for teams in the Big Dance. They went 27-4 overall and 17-1 in league play. They’ve been a regular in the tournament but this is probably their best team. They’re on a 16-game winning streak.
Utah Valley is the 2-seed and a top 100 KenPom team, like the 3-seed Grand Canyon. The Aggies only loss was to Cal Baptist, one of those bizarre conference losses that happen periodically.
The Pick: New Mexico State- Hands down, this is one of the best Mid-Majors in the nation.
