Brian has Middle Tennessee as a 10-seed, so there's wiggle room should they get beat in the conference tournament but there ain't a lot of wiggle room. They're 52nd in KenPom. Next best in league is 2-seed Louisiana Tech. Old Dominion is 122nd and the 3-seed. UTEP is the 4-seed after finishing tied for 3rd with a 12-6 league record. Overall, though, the Miners are 14-16! They went 12-3 over their last 15 games.
Middle Tennessee has a lot of pressure on themselves. I think they're worthy of an at-large bid but I'm not sure they'd get one without winning the league. They're clearly the best team in the league. Yet, we know that's meaningless this week. Bubble teams across the land are big Middle Tennessee fans this week.
