It seems like Bubble Teams do it to themselves on this last Thursday of the regular season. Presented with an opportunity to secure a bid with a win (Texas/Mississippi) or play into the bracketto replace those teams (Miami/Illinois/Old Dominion/Texas A&M), they lose.
Now, Texas and Mississippi are safe for now and Miami still has a fighters chance but ODU, Illinois, and Texas A&M are done. No longer considered they are giving hopes to either teams that play their first conference tournmanet game today (Tulsa/Purdue), teams that are done and waiting (Murray State/Iona), or teams that we are taking a second look at (Richmond/Rhode Island/UTEP).
Inside the bracket there really wasn't much movement as teams expected to win....won! North Carolina and Louisville flip 4 and 5 seeds and both are ripe to lose first round games with the correct matchup. Iowa drops a full seed after being upset by Penn State. North Carolina State also drops a seed to a 10 but they were the last 9 so they only flipped with Colorado State.
There are some big bubble games today that we will highlight a little later this morning.
