The Terriers are 90th overall in KenPom, 136th on offense and 76th on defense. On offense, Wofford is a decent 3-pt shooting team making 37% and hold opponents to 30.8%, which is 26th overall.
They don't rebound offensive misses, as they're 239th in offensive rebounding%. Basically, they want to keep you from getting out into transition. They are a good defensive rebounding team, holding the opposition to getting 27.7% of their misses. You're going to have to run solid sets and get your shots. Nothing is likely to come easy.
The name to know? Sr. G Karl Cochran is the leader of the team. A volume 3-pt shooter (He was 90-244 this year), this kid takes 33% of Wofford's shots while on the court. Put a man on him. He also can force some steals. If Wofford wins a game, he'll likely be a big reason why.
Wofford has a win over Iona at home (It's a shame Iona lost last night) and beat a very good Sam Houston State team on a neutral court. They also won at NC State, 55-54, the kind of score I'd expect if they pull an upset. Against other good teams, Duke and West Virginia routed them.
We'll have another Bracket Buster team preview from the Horizon tomorrow. We lost two when Iona and Murray State lost.
