Lots of big action yesterday...lets get right into it.
Wichita State locks up an undefeated regular season and looks like a solid #1 seed. Syracuse lost for the third time in 4 games and suddenly don't look like a top line team. Kansas, the most likely team to grab Syracuse's #1 seed, losses as well and now that last #1 is up in the air.
At the 4-5 level, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Michigan State, Texas, Louisville, and Kentucky all lose to garble up those bids. The biggest winners around that spot are North Carolina and Oklahoma, who might be a 4 seeds now.
Speaking of Kentucky, the SEC suddenly got interesting with Arkansas avoiding a hangover and Tennessee and Missouri winning big. Arkansas leap frogs Tennessee and Missouri in the peaking order and looks like the most likely #3 team out of the SEC. In the end I don't envision a case where all 3 get in but it's more and more likely the SEC gets 4 bids.
The Big12 continues to impress with the bottom teams making a strong case for a bid. Oklahoma State and Baylor keep chugging back up and not only are they back in the bracket but they aren't even in the last 4 in.
As for the last 4 in, the PAC12 looks to be back-filling those spots. California continues to struggle while Colorado is going to be judged by their Dinwiddie-less games. Both of these teams are just hanging on at this point.
As for teams coming and going, Toledo jumps back in replacing Western Michigan as the AQ from the MAC. Florida Gulf Coast also replaces Mercer in the Atlantic Sun. Bubblewise, Minnesota's loss to Michigan drops them out replaced by Tennessee.
