Big 12

The Big 12 has been regarded as the best conference this year and it’s hard to argue otherwise.  After hitting mid-season bumps in the road Oklahoma State and Baylor have surged back into almost lock status.  Kansas, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas State are all locks already.  All 7 teams are top 50 RPI’s and top 45 KenPom.

The biggest story of the conference tournament is Joel Embiid who has been ruled out until at least the NCAA tournament, if not longer.  They would be the favorite with him but since he’s out I’m looking at Iowa State to take it.  Here’s a look at the NCAA tournament teams and their current bids

1.       Kansas – 2 seed

2.       Iowa State – 4 seed (ceiling of 2 seed)

3.       Oklahoma – 5 seed

4.       Texas – 6 seed

5.       Baylor – 8 seed

6.       Kansas State – 9 seed

7.       Oklahoma State – 10 seed
