Last Night's Action

A lot of action last night as some bubble teams took the initiative and won some games.  Villanova got a win over Georgetown which squashes their 1 seed hope for now.  For those counting at home Villanova has now beat the top 4 seeds in the Big East and as long as they don’t lose their first round game in the Big East should get a bid.  Iowa State also gets a big win as well as LaSalle, Temple, and North Carolina.  On the outside looking in, Tennessee continues to pile up wins, although beating Auburn won’t do much for their profile.  At this point, it’s about avoiding bad losses.  Maryland also had a chance to get a signature win but lost a home game to the Tar Heels.  They may be on their last breath.
On the top of the bracket Miami loses again continuing their slide over the past couple of weeks.  They were lucky to get wins against Clemson and Virginia as well.  They may have peaked too early.
