Games 90-81

90:  Notre Dame 79 Cincinnati 78, 1976 1st Round
Toby Knight tips the ball in to win at the buzzer

89:  West Virginia 63 Creighton 61, 2005 1st Round
Tyrone Sally makes a layup with 2.9 seconds left and Nate Funk misses a game winning 3 at the buzzer

88:  Lehigh 75 Duke 70, 2012 1st Round
RIP, Duke 2012

87:  Michigan 83 Illinois 81, 1989 National Semi-Finals
Illinois had swept Michigan during the Big 10 season and hadn't lost all season with Kendall Gill in the lineup.  Terry Mills missed a jumper but Sean Higgins grabbed the rebound and made the putback with 1.0 second left propelling Michigan to the title game.

86:  DePaul 90 Louisville 89, 1978 Sweet 16
Still seething over being benched at the World University Games a year earlier by Louisville head coach Denny Crum, David Corzine pours in 46 points and grabs 9 boards.  he also makes the game winner with 6 seconds left.

85:  Iowa 93 Oklahoma 91, 1987 Sweet 16
Oklahoma jumped out to a 37-21 lead but Iowa rattled off 19 straight points to answer.  Kevin Gamble helped preserve a tie with a block at the end of regulation sending the game into overtime.  Gamble wasn't done as he hit a game winning three at the end of overtime and send Iowa to the Elite 8.

84:  Wake Forest 73 DePaul 71, 1984
In legendary coach Ray Meyer's last game, the 27-2 Blue Demons jumped out to an early lead over the Demon Deacons and had an 8 point lead with 3 minutes left.  Wake continued to chip away and forced overtime on a last second shot by Delany Rudd.  In overtime, missed FTs doomed DePaul and allowed Wake's Danny Young to hit the game winner at the buzzer ending Meyer's career.

83:  Wake Forest 81 Texas 80, 2010 1st Round
Ishmael Smith hits a game winner with 1.0 second left to lift the Demon Deacons over the Longhorns.

82:  Georgetown 53 Weber State 51, 1995 2nd Round
Don Reid blocks Weber State's Ruben Nembhard's shot with 9 seconds left but gets the ball right back and is fouled.  Nembhard misses the front end and the ball is worked to Allen Iverson who races the court only to miss badly but Don Reid catches the ball and flips in the shot over his shoulder with 0.4 left on the clock to win the game.

81:  Tennessee 63 Winthrop 61, 2206 1st Round
Curtis Lofton nails a 3 with 0.4 seconds left seemingly assuring a win.  Winthrop tosses the ball the length of the court off the backboard and into the hands of one its players who just misses a game-tying shot.
