Game 40: Arkansas 76 Duke 72, 1994 Final
Scotty Thurman breaks the heart of Dookies across the nation with a high arching 3 to give the Razorbacks a lead they wouldn't relinquish with :50 left.
Game 39: Gonzaga 73 Florida 72, 1999 Sweet 16
Florida lead 72-69 with :46 left when Gonzaga cut it to 1 after Jeremy Eaton layup with :20 left. Florida turned the ball over on a Bracey Wright travel with :17 left. Quentin Hall attempted a floater with :08 left for the 'Zags but the shot went long but rebounded to Casey Calvary who tipped it in. Eddie Shannon of Florida managed to get a decent look at a 3 at the buzzer but it rimmed out and "The Slipper Still Fit".
Game 38: Kentucky 86 Duke 84, 1998 Elite 8
Duke & Kentucky had played a memorable regional final a few years earlier and this one did not disappoint either. Duke dominated the game leading 71-54 with 9:38 left when Kentucky exploded. The final salvo was a 3 by Scott Padgett that put the Wildcats up for good, 84-81. It was the perfect buffer for Duke who won at the buzzer in '93 against UK and would win with a similar comeback against Maryland in 2001.
Game 37: UCLA 75 Louisville 74, 1975 National Semifinals
UCLA had lost in the National Semifinal a year earlier, ending their remarkable title run and Louisville was a minute from beating them in the same spot in 1975. The Cards had a 74-73 lead with a minute left when UCLA fouled Terry Howard who was 28-28 at the line during the year. Howard missed the front end and UCLA corralled the rebound. UCLA's RicharD Washington would hit a 10' with 2 seconds left winning the game for the Bruins and sending them to another title game.
Game 36: NC State 80 UCLA 77, 1974 National Semifinals
It was this game that ended Bill Walton's collegoate career and UCLA's title run. NC State was a great team, having won 56 of their last 57 games, the only loss being at UCLA 84-66 that December. This game, though, was held in Greensboro and the crowd was pro-State. All-everything David Thompson put on a show scoring 28 to go with 10 boards.
Game 35: Western Kentucky 101 Drake 99, 2008 First Round
Drake had a magical season and to reward them, the NCAA seeded them 5th and matched them up with perennial upset maker, Western Kentucky. WKU would lead by as many as 16 but Drake fought back to force overtime and lead 99-98 with 5.7 seconds left. Ty Rogers would inbound Tyrone Brazelton who had torched Drake all night. Drake double teamed him. Brazelton passed back to the trailing Rogers who would hit the game winning 3 at the horn.
Game 34: North Carolina 63 Georgetown 62, 1982 Natiuonal Title Game

Game 33: Texas Western 81 Kansas 80, 1966 Third Round
Befire stunning Kentucky with an all-African American lineup, Texas Western upset 4th ranked Kansas. The Miners lead by 3 late but fouled the Jathawks JoJo White on a layup and he converted the FT to send the game to overtime. The game was tied in overtime when White appeared to win it for KU with an improbable 35' shot but his foot was on the end line. Eventually, Texas Western pulled away and survived a late charge to win.
Game 32: Richmond 73 Syracuse 69, 1991 1st Round
Richmond became the 1st 15 seed to ever win a tournament game stunning Syracuse. The previous tournament, Duke had whipped the Spiders 81-46 in round one.
Game 31: Michigan 80 Seton Hall 79, National Title Game
Rumeal Robinson won the game at the free throw line with 3 seconds left. Robinson entered the game a 64% shooter at the line but made both even after being iced by a Pirates timeout. It concluded one of the best Final Fours ever.
