The 'ol 96er and Bo

Bo Ryan wants to expand the field to 96 and clarifies it for us simpletons.

"Why wouldn't you expand the field?" he asked, noting the expansion would benefit
athletes, coaches and fans. "And the people who are so ill-prepared intellectually to get on their podium and say it is perfect the way it is...Anybody that talks like that, be real leery of them."

I suppose expanding would improve your chances of making it out of the first weekend and save some of your brethren their jobs because they made it in as a team with a losing conference record in the Big 11 or ACC but were good enough to be #95 overall.

Ryan noted that more than half the Bowl Subdivision football programs qualify for postseason play. After the 2009 season, 68 0f 120 FBS programs (56.7%) participated in bowl
games.

And we all know the thrilling matchups in the failed.com or pizza bowls have been resounding successes. You wonder why the Bowl system is what it is? Can you imagine a 16-team playoff? Those poor kids and coaches who don'tget a chance to play in it! The injustice of this world! Can't we all be winners? Making a bowl game saves jobs. thus, saving the economy!

Let's just go all in and make it a 256 team field. And give everyone orange slices and a ribbon, too.
