1. Kansas
2. Kentucky
3. Michigan State
4. Big East (WVU, Cuse, Nova)
I disagree with Brian about Kentucky and defense. This isn't Calipari's Memphis teams that didn't get tested in Conference USA. They're going to get teams that can beat them and they'll have to weather some storms in the SEC. The defense isn't great but it all isn't terrible. Currently, they stand 122nd in scosing defense in the NCAA. They make up for it with by being 7th in the nation in blocked shots (That speaks of their great athleticism) and 1st in rebound margin. North Carolina was 274th in scoring defense last season.
Michigan State was due for a stinker and last night was it. Bo Ryan might win at home but he's only been out of the first weekend twice as coach of Bucky and Leuer is a hack machine. If you're betting the house in March, what team & coach has a proven track record? Don't sleep on Michigan State unless Lucas disapears for the remainder of the season. The numbers don't lie. They shoot well, they rebound well (2nd in the nation) and can score. And throughout the course of the season, they do it much better than Wisconsin.
I copped out on the 4th team but if I had to pick one, I'd lean towards Syracuse.
