A-10

From the nation’s capitol, home of the greatest grifter to ever live, the A-10 begins its conference tournament on Wednesday.

Rhode Island was on cruise control entering last week and proceeded to lose two straight. They’re still the 1-seed but not invincible. They’re down to 48th in KenPom. Brian has them on the 8-line and if that’s where they finish, they’ll be overseedeed. It’s all fluid, though. A good week could right the ship and they can move up.

To give you an idea on how mediocre the A-10 has been this year, only two other teams are in the KenPom top 100. They’re Davidson at 55 and the 3-seed and St. Bonaventure at 62, the 2-seed. You drop to 146 before you find another A-10 team and that’s VCU.

Rhode Island is pretty safe bracket-wise. St. Bonaventure is skating the bubble and Davidson needs to win the tournament to make it. There’s a lot at stake in the opening few rounds here.

The Pick: St. Bonaventure
