And yesterday's trend of bubble teams winning ends with a thud today. Arizona State, St. Joseph's and Arizona all lose at home to slide closer to the cutoff. At this point I think they are all still in but both Arizona State and St. Joseph's are in the last 4 in group. Arizona, who has a 7-8 conference record, is still safe due to their high RPI (20) and SOS (1). If I were them I'd make sure to get at least 2 of the next 3 to be safe.
Maryland wins a tough road game at Wake to solidify their resume while California's home loss removes them from consideration. Wake Forest's loss also moves them to the last considered and need to be perfect from here on out.
A final note about the Atlantic 10 which as of 2 weeks ago looked like a 5 bid league. Check out their conference records...Xavier leads the conference at 12-1 while St. Bonaventure brings up the rear at 1-12. The remaining 12 teams all are between 8-5 and 5-8. With almost zero separation between the in teams, the bubble teams, and the no chance teams it'll be interesting to see what the committee does. Oh, and if you did your math correctly you'll see that Atlantic 10 has 14 teams. Kind of makes the 11 team Big 10 look like pansies.
