Teams Currently Out of the Bracket That May Find Their Way In By March
1. Iowa – we’re starting with a deep sleeper that isn’t even on most people’s radar right now. The Hawkeyes were expected to be a mid-level Big 10 team this year and have played below expectations. However, they have good KenPom numbers and a favorable final schedule. 5 games are winnable and the remaining two, Minnesota and Indiana, could be the statement wins they need to get over the hump. It’s a long shot but not inconceivable that they make a run.
2. Stanford – With 7 games left the Cardinals are well within ear shot of making the tournament. Tonight’s game against UCLA is a huge opportunity for a signature win.
3. California – 5 of their last 7 games are at home so as long as they can hold court and still 1 road win they should be in good shape. All of their losses have come against teams either in the bracket or in the Also Considered lists. I think either Stanford or California eventually get the Pac12’s 4th bid.

All 3 of those are good NIT Championship caliber
