The MAC begins its conference tournament on Monday. The games will be played in Cleveland. Akron was the regular season champion, going 14-4 in the league. They’re 83rd in KenPom and the only team in the top 100.
Technically, Akron won the East. Ball State and Northern Illinois went 11-7 and won the West. Ball State swept NIU. Bowling Green went 12-6 and finished 2nd in the East to Akron. Ball State is the 2nd best team with regard to KenPom at 114.

Speaking of St. Peter’s, they finished 2nd in the league. They’re also coached by Shaheen Holloway. They are 196th in KenPom. The only other top 200 KenPom team is Rider who finished 3rd. Iona has won the last 4 tournaments. If they win this year, they’ll be in the play-in round.
