The Only Top 10 That Matters

1. Villanova - This Villanova team reminds me of the late-era Billy Donovan Florida teams. Time to make hay in March.

2. Kansas - Some day, we'll look back and appreciate just how good a coach Bill Self is. Took Tulsa to the Elite 8 in 2000, built the roster that Illinois rode to a title game appearance in 2005 and now his incredible Big XII run. Some think he'll try the NBA at some point. If he does, I won't bet against him.

3. Iowa - The Uthoff shade thrown in Wisconsin makes cheering for him and the Hawkeyes quite easy.

4. Michigan State - Did you know it's Valentine's Day?  The puns write themselves today, on CBS!

5. Oklahoma - I still believe in the Sooners.

6. North Carolina - I'm getting impatient, Tar Heels.

7. Kentucky - Started to see a lot of, "this team looks like the 2014 team" chatter which just about assures an early exit in March. But the guards are really good. Tyler Ulis should have played more last year.

8. Xavier - Loss at Creighton doesn't bother me. Bluejays are better than people think. More impressed with how they throttled Butler yesterday.

9. Virginia - Grayson Allen traveled? Too bad. Screw Virginia and their slowest tempo in America.

10. Arizona - Your Pac-12 champions, folks!

Coming: Duke
Going: Maryland - The Terps are a fraud. Not only did Wisconsin dominate them yesterday, it should have been worse. Wisconsin had a lot of wide open looks they missed. Maryland is just not a well coached team at all. I'd take Greg Gard over Mark Turgeon everytime.

Diamond Stone deserves a suspension, too. How he didn't get ejected is beyond me. That said, the high and mighty fans outraged at his behavior are the same ones that freely attack his character and intellect because he dared not go to Madison. It's one of the more underrated boorish fanbases.
