The Southland tips-off tomorrow from Lake Charles, Louisiana. KenPom 63, McNeese State won the league title, going 28-3 overall and 17-1 in league. Texas A&M-Chorpus Christi is the only other top-200 KenPom team (166).
McNeese State had the best offense and defense in the league. They enter the tournament on a 9-game winning streak. They didn’t have great tests in non-conference. They beat an ok VCU team, an ok UAB team and a terrible Michigan team.
They’re the pick. Bad FT shooting team is a concern when it comes to picking them in an upset but they’ll give someone a tussle should they make the dance
