Today’s bracket will be out a little later than
normal. There’s a lot of numbers to pour through. The bubble is
exceptionally bad in my mind. The last couple bids seems to be going to
teams with RPI’s in the mid to high 60’s which is a lot higher than
normal. Note that the highest RPI to ever receive an at-large bid was USC
in 2011 at 67 and there has only been 4 in the 60’s to get one.
There were a couple teams using the old RPI formula that made it with
an RPI in the 70’s but none with the new formula.
