Up until this weekend I felt the NCAA's were very top heavy. I thought there were 4 solid title contenders and maybe 2-3 more Final Four possibilities. What happens next?
Kentucky wins but it takes 3 overtimes to win two games.
Duke loses to North Carolina State - not a bad loss but they never looked in it.
Wisconsin loses to Rutgers? Freaking Rutgers?
Virginia barely takes out a badly overrated Notre Dame team
Texas lost their last two.
Maybe this year isn't as top heavy as I thought. How close to Kentucky, Duke, and Wisconsin are the next level of teams? Is Villanova worthy? Can Gonzaga be a player (yes), what about Wichita State, Maryland, Arizona, or even Utah? It's still early in the conference season but it's getting interesting quickly. Grab some popcorn and watch the magic happen!
