Thursday Thoughts

 On Wednesday night Xavier missed a big opportunity to get a road win at Creighton and now has more work to do to get on the right side of the bubble.  Maryland, on the other hand, got a nice resume building win over Wisconsin.  Also, Houston took care of West Virginia, and the Mountaineers are slowly dropping in the bracket.

Thursday is a lighter night with only a few games of note.  Ohio State travels to Penn State and need this road win to stay in the bracket.  Not sure a loss drops them all the way out since most bubble teams lost this week but its questionable.  Nebraska has a big game, hosting Illinois.  The Huskers are currently out and need to start stockpiling wins.  Might as well start tonight.

 Tuesday was a solid night of basketball with Ohio State upsetting Purdue as the highlight.  Tonight is not nearly as loaded but there are a couple games to watch out for:

Xavier vs St. John's  - Xavier is making a move and this would be a nice feather in the cap.

Texas A&M vs Mississippi - Two teams listed as 5 seeds.  A loss doesn't hurt too much but a win looks great on the resume

Georgia vs Arkansas - Calipari's last stand starts tonight.  Or maybe not?

Tuesday Games

Now that College Football is done we can turn our full attention to Basketball.  Tonight is a full slate with a couple solid games from the SEC and Big 10 to discuss.

Alabama is riding high after the road win at Kentucky.  This is a classic let down spot.

Friday Update

As much as I am not a huge fan of Friday Night basketball, tonight has a couple games worth watching. 

First, Michigan State plays Ohio State where both teams are currently in the bracket.  Ohio State needs to hold serve at home.

The other two games of note involve the 2 "Good" Wisconsin teams.  The Badgers host Iowa who always gives them fits.  The second game involves National Title Contender Marquette hosting Creighton.  Creighton had high hopes at the beginning of the season but now need every win they can get.
